Cardknox’s Split Capture Tool is Now Available in the Cardknox Merchant Portal!
Online merchants often process authorization-only transactions at the time of sale to confirm availability of funds, and they then capture the transaction once the order has been shipped out to initiate the transfer of funds. For merchants who ship out orders in multiple shipments, though (such as wholesalers with multiple locations), it can be inefficient to have to capture the full authorization when the full order is not being shipped out all at once.
That’s why we’re excited to announce Cardknox’s new Split Capture feature! With Split Capture, you’ll be able to authorize the total transaction amount when the order is placed, and then capture multiple payments as shipments go out. You’ll enjoy greater control over your payment processing flow, and more organized records in which transactions better reflect shipments. At the same time, your customers will appreciate that they’re not being charged for orders they have not yet received.
