Recap: The IAAPA Expo 2019 and the Cardknox + Aluvii Happy Hour!
Attended by over 40,000 amusement industry professionals from more than 100 countries, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) Expo is the top international event for the leisure and attractions world. Cardknox was delighted to attend the annual event once again this year, where we had an incredible time connecting with industry solution providers and businesses—both on-site and after-hours at the Cardknox and Aluvii Happy Hour Meet & Greet!
The IAAPA Expo floor was flooded with excitement and activity as attendees eagerly got a glimpse at (and even tried out!) life-size amusement rides, indoor play equipment, arcade games, and virtual reality games—all while sampling delicious treats like ice cream and funnel cake. Members of the Cardknox team enjoyed spending time at our partner Aluvii’s booth, where visitors got to learn more about the benefits of this leading POS software and its integration with Cardknox. The Cardknox team also had a blast walking the floor and connecting with numerous businesses and other solution providers (we had some fun playing games, too!).
In addition to partaking in the excitement on the expo floor, Cardknox was proud to co-host it’s second annual VIP Happy Hour Meet & Greet with Aluvii! Featuring prime networking opportunities, delicious food (the mac and cheese was a hit!), and fun games like pool and Jenga, the Happy Hour had an even larger turnout than last year and it was truly enjoyed by all. Cardknox had a great time bonding with members of the Aluvii team, some of whom we’ve known for a while and some of whom we hadn’t met before (such as members of Aluvii’s awesome technical and support teams).
And, of course, the Cardknox team really enjoyed connecting with companies in the amusement industry that either currently use, or are interested in using, the Cardknox and Aluvii integration. We even got to catch up with some professionals who we met for the first time at last year’s event!
After much planning and preparation, it was so rewarding to see so many in the industry come together to chat in a relaxed atmosphere, play pool, and get to know one another. Thank you to all those who stopped by the Happy Hour and helped contribute to the wonderful atmosphere!
