As a part of the Business Development Team, Irina works to structure partnerships with Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). She helps educate developers and business leaders on how integrated payment models can help them enhance their product offering, increase their customers’ satisfaction, earn revenue, and more. What attracted you to Cardknox as a potential employer?
I was attracted to its impeccable industry reputation, its strong commitment to innovation, and the level of collaboration I learned about during the interview process. Being at the forefront of payment technology makes going to work exciting!
What makes Cardknox unique as opposed to other companies you have worked for?
Product innovation is a top priority at Cardknox. We actually have a team that focuses solely on researching and developing new technologies — we call it the Lab Team. This, coupled with our high level of personalized client support, really stands out. Cardknox truly takes care of its customers and its employees.
What is the office environment like at Cardknox?
The office environment is both relaxed and productive. When I have made the trip up from my home office in Georgia, I’ve seen a high level of cooperation, support, and understanding that I really value.
What's something your manager/team does to make you feel valued?
My manager gives me ongoing support and creative feedback to help me continue to develop as a professional. Plus, I love the employee recognition programs. Employees are praised daily and monthly for their successes and achievements, and special one-time incentive programs are deployed throughout the year. The Business Development Team also gets to brainstorm and provide input on new features as well as review existing products, so I really feel like I have a voice in the company.
How does your team build relationships with each other?
My team builds relationships through open communication and collaboration. As a dispersed team with coworkers all over the U.S., we use tools like Slack and Confluence to keep in touch and stay informed about product updates. I participate in weekly team calls and one-on-one calls with my manager so that we can catch up on business and personal events and review the pipeline. I never hesitate to Slack a question or pick up the phone to talk through an issue.
How does Cardknox promote career and/or personal growth?
Cardknox makes all the effort to ensure employees progress in their careers and personal lives. There are vast opportunities for training and cross-training across departments. We have access to video demos on new products, detailed product documentation, sales training, and regularly attend industry events.
