Merchant Portal & Mobile App Updates
We are pleased to announce the release of the following Merchant Portal updates.
Merchant Portal Updates
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Enabled for Merchants at Login
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) software allows users to verify their identities through a software application or a mobile app. SMS authentication accomplishes the same thing through a one-time passcode (OTP) that is delivered to the user’s phone via text message. Both software and SMS MFA are now enabled for merchants at login.
Merchant Portal Bug Fixes
Swipes Now Recognized in the Card Number Field
In the past, when merchants attempted to enter information directly into the card number field via a swiper, the swipes were not always correctly recognized. Sometimes the magstripe code was misidentified as the card number, or the merchant was unable to bypass the expiration date field. Now, whenever a card is swiped, the card number field will be correctly pre-filled, and the expiration date will not be required to process the transaction.
Minus Signs Now Visible When a List of Gift Issue Transactions Is Exported
When a user exports a list of gift issue transactions, the minus sign beside the dollar amount indicates the transaction type. A bug caused these minus signs to drop off when a list of gift issue transactions was exported. This has been fixed.
Updated Phone Number Field in the Lead/eAPP Module
The Signer Cell Phone Number field in the Lead/eApp module used to allow more than 10 digits. This sometimes resulted in the accidental misentry of phone numbers. The field has been updated to only accept up to 10 digits.
Updated AVS Street Field on the New Transaction Screen
When a merchant has AVS information pre-saved, the Street and ZIP fields will now be pre-filled on the New Transaction screen. Before this bug fix, these fields were not loading properly.
Mobile App Updates
We are pleased to announce the release of the following Mobile App updates.
New Terms and Conditions
This month, we added Terms and Conditions to the sign-in page. This click-through agreement requires one-time user acceptance.
“Remember This Device” Option Enabled for MFA
We’ve implemented a “Remember This Device” option for MFA to streamline user experience.
Simplified In-App Instructions for Payment Processing
For merchants processing with the VP3300, we’ve simplified the payment acceptance instructions (“Tap, Insert or Swipe when ready”) on the Sale screen.
Mobile App Bug Fixes
Functional “Done” Button on the Amount Screen
We fixed the “Done” button on the Amount screen so that you can now easily close the account dropdown menu.
Improved User Experience When Viewing Batch Transactions
While viewing open or closed batch transactions, some users were receiving an error message when they removed a batch filter from the Transaction grid. Full functionality of this feature has been restored.
