Cardknox Merchant Portal November 2021 Release Notes
The clocks have been set back, but we are launching forward this November here at Cardknox! We have jam-packed release notes, with two releases worth of enhancements, facelifts, new features, bug fixes, and more.
Let’s dive in!
Remember… To Try Out These New Features, Go to the Beta Portal
If you’d like to try out any of these new features, we’ve released them in the Beta portal. Click on the user icon (upper right corner) and select Enter Beta Portal. To return to the previous version of the Merchant Portal, click on the user icon again and select Leave Beta Portal.
Set ACH as Default Payment Method
For those using ACH payments, you’ll be happy to hear that you can now set up ACH as a Default Payment method! To enable this, navigate to your Transaction Settings and select the drop-down. All new transactions will default to ACH in the pop-up window.
All Custom Fields Display in Reports and Receipts
We’ve made enhancements to the custom field functionality so that all custom fields and aliases appear in printed portal receipts as well as within the application.
Transactions Enhancements
We’ve made improvements across the board on the Transactions screen, bringing new functionality and improving the experience. First is with printing Transaction Reports – users now have the option to print reports on a single page. We’ve also enhanced the usability of reports by allowing users to easily export the current view without having to further specify the parameters.
Filtering options have improved, as you can now filter by any Transaction Result. We’ve also made display changes to properly display the cent amount as two decimal points when processing a transaction, and we’ve updated how we display Custom fields to appropriately show the renamed values.
We fixed a small bug, enabling users to print/download transaction columns that are selected instead of all columns. And lastly, when exporting a transaction report, we’ve made a small bug fix to ensure parity between the report and what’s shown on the screen.
Enhancements throughout the Application
We’ve made significant improvements to our date selection functionality! We’ve updated the Dashboard date filter to display dates instead of hours when filtering by more than one day. We’ve also added a new custom date picker modal, with ability to display all months and years as well as a single-click option for selecting “Today” as a date range.
There are also minor usability improvements, like greying out future dates (past today) on the End Date calendar to eliminate confusion. Arrows were also added near the Month and Year so a user can use the arrows for navigating through dates in addition to clicking on the month and year.
But that’s not all. We also made additional enhancements throughout the application. One of which is the CustomerID field. We’ve Enabled the Customer ID to be a clickable field, where clicking navigates to customer information when the correct data conditions are present. For users with customers using digital wallets, we’ve added Digital Wallet as a field available for Transaction Reporting. And for those who are not, we’ve made an enhancement to disable the “Enable Digital Wallet” option when not supported by the account.
Lastly, we enhanced Recurring Schedules screen to display custom fields with pre-filled customer data when creating a new schedule and enhanced the overall application to remove authentication for user across all tab sessions when logging out.
Facelifts and Display Changes
In the 2.32 release, we’ve given a facelift to the General Settings navigation bar as well as changed the styling for the PaymentSITE Management layout. We also added a character limit to PaymentSITE names preventing more than 50 characters from being added.
We’ve made a small display change to the Mobile Transactions settings to include a missing period in the amount entry. We’ve also made a change to prevent the Transaction Report from generating blank pages.
Stop by and give it all a look!
Bug Fixes
What’s a release without a few solid bug fixes? In 2.32 we fixed an issue causing the Custom02 field to be deleted when adding new custom field or updating an existing one. We also fixed issue in which editing a key in the portal overwrites existing key values.
When entering data into the Custom01 field on a Transaction, an issue was blocking the user from selecting the “Save as Customer” checkbox. We’ve resolved this bug, as well as an issue where the Card number is not recognized when changing from gift:issue default to a new transaction.
Finally, we fixed validation of gift card search in Gift Card Activity Breakdown to properly search and display Gift Card.
